Dallas-based Rowan-Cornil Inc, trading as Sunbelt Industrial Trucks, became the authorised north Texas dealer for Nissan Forklift Corp products.

Sunbelt's 60,000 sqft. (5,400 sqm) Dallas facility on 3.5 acres adds representation of all five classes of new Nissan forklifts and genuine Nissan forklift parts and service. The market includes the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

"Nissan Forklift is pleased to have Sunbelt Industrial Trucks as a Nissan Forklift dealer in northern Texas," says Mark Manninen, director of distribution management and sales intelligence with Marengo, Illinois-based Nissan Forklift.

"We are excited to be offering Nissan lift trucks to our customers," says Bill Rowan, president of Sunbelt Industrial Trucks.

Warren Cornil, Sunbelt chief executive officer, adds, "Being an authorised Nissan dealer is a great opportunity for us to grow. Now, as the economy starts to turn around, is an ideal time to become partners."

Nissan Forklift announced the appointment on 9 February. Sunbelt says the arrangements were completed in December.

Organised and opened for business on 1 September 1987, Sunbelt Industrial Truck sells, services, rents and leases new and used forklifts and sells forklift parts.

In addition to the Dallas location, Sunbelt Industrial Trucks operates a Houston, Texas facility occupying 30,000 sqft. (2,700 sqm) on 2.8 acres.

Sunbelt says it has been the number one Komatsu dealer in North America for the past 25 years. In addition to the Nissan and Komatsu products, Sunbelt represents TCM forklifts, Big Joe electric forklifts and the Flexi forklift line for very-narrow-aisle applications.

Nissan Forklift has a network of more than 100 authorised dealerships with more than 225 locations across North, Central and South America. Nissan Forklift Corp is a subsidiary of Nissan Forklift Co Ltd of Yokohama, Japan within the Nissan Motor Co Ltd family.
