NEW EXPLOSION-PROOF TRUCK LAUNCHED BY ASE
Fairfield, United States Friday, 30 Mar 2001
FAIRFIELD, USA -- American Specialty Equipment (ASE) has released a new rider straddle explosion-proof truck (RSEX) with a capacity of up to 18 tonnes.
Marketed under the Gregory brand name, the truck is one of more than 50 explosion-proof models offered by the Fairfield-based company.
Other explosion-proof forklifts include reach trucks, straddles, pedestrian walkies, stackers, sit-down riders, tuggers and drum handling units.
All are approved, classified and labeled by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) of the USA and Canada for use in Division 1, and Groups C, D and G-class hazardous environments.
ASE chief executive Greg Russell said the RSEX forklift, designed for comfort and safety when transporting materials over long distances, was ideal for materials handling applications in confined areas.
"The unique, side-entry operator's compartment is ergonomically designed for forward and backward visibility from a single position," he said.
ASE manufactures UL-classified Gregory EX electric forklift trucks for use in hazardous and explosive environments in the USA, Canada and Europe.
