Good trading results for DP World News Story - 24 Jul 2008 ( #370 ) - SYDNEY, New South Wales, Australia 1 min read Global marine terminal operator DP World this week announced that its majority-owned or -operated terminals reported a throughput of 13.6 million TEU for the first half of 2008, an increase of 21% over the same period last year.This increase in volume was driven by excellent performance from its terminals in the Australia, India and Middle East regions, the latter two benefiting from cargo formerly destined for the US being redirected into markets in India, Middle East and Africa.The two Dubai ports of Jebel Ali and Port Rashid together grew 17% to reach 5.8 million TEU for the first half of 2008. The company will announce its 2008 half-year financial results on 28 August.
