MEYER Forklift Attachments have become successful all over the world, whether in Eastern Europe or South America. Almost every second attachment, produced in Salzgitter, is for the export market. Hansjörg Freund, MEYER Sales Director, declares: "Here we intend to continue to grow our export market". To this effect a new branch in Russia has been founded". The new Export Manager Michael Knerr ensures that this trend continues to rise: "Now we have won additional partners in Chile, India and Portugal". Especially the market in India shows high growth rates.

Extension of the MEYER subsidiaries
Freund explains: "The focal point of our activities lies at present in the Russian market. At this year's CeMAT in Hanover we presented the new sales structure with our branch in Moscow". This means that MEYER is the first attachment manufacturer represented on the Russian market. A further extension of our service and after sales is planned to take place in the near future.

The subsidiary in France has increased its personnel. Didier Bebing, Managing Director and Sales Manager of the MEYER dependence in Paris: "We are pleased to welcome Daniel Fayeulle who is an experienced sales representative. Apart from his personal attention to the sales areas Normandy and "Ile de France" (Greater Paris), the focus of his activities lies in the build-up of key accounts.

Extension of the worldwide dealer network
Already existing customer contacts were the basis for the development of the new sales partner "MEYER India" - Factory Products" who was already introduced in December 2007 at the CeMAT in Bangalore/India. This means that a competent team in sales and technical service represents MEYER in this growing market. Knerr was pleased: "The response with our Indian customer was consistently positive".

The Portuguese market is now being served exclusively by the leading specialists for forklift truck attachments, "MEYER Portugal-Movimenta" in Lisbon. Knerr: "With this sales and service organisation covering large areas we ensure optimum customer support - from consulting to service in the daily operation. The storage of standard forks, sideshifts and fork positioners on site enables our partner to quickly react to enquiries.

Reinforcement in Italy
The young sales team of MEYER Italia in Prato near Florence has been expanded and now supports customers in the whole of the Italian market. Customer service is the central point of the strategy. In particular MEYER Italia has acquired a good name in the Italian paper industry and in port applications.

I know I can count on them. They give valuable suggestions on the campaign planning, and to publish content is as easy as abc, as they take care of the material layout and check links. This is a great support.
