Which generation and for what market are you looking at (North Am. or Gen)?  Also, fuel injected or carburated.

They are standard spec  engines with standard style distributor not separate coil packs  and an Impco Cobra vapourizer and CA50 carb and not injected.

That would mean they are the H20 ll motors then wouldn't it?? I have never come across a K21 or K25 without fuel injection and a distributor. That would be a new one on me.

They are definatly K21 & K25, it is stamped in the block and they have aluminium cylinder heads, H20 had cast iron.
This engine is fitted by Jungheinrich and also to some gery import Mitsubishi's.

Danny;
The stamped S/N on the engine's block are which sequence? K21 10001-GSXXX or 10001-4KXXX and the K25 should be the same codes. Once again are we dealing with multi-port fuel injection, throttle body injection or carburated engine which are all in present day production.

Pastrana;
Do you have access to a OBD II automotive style hand set. If you do not you should be able to buy one for abt. 100.00 USD. There is a blue plug in the wire harness that you can plug into to access the ECM error. If you have a Cat dealer close. You might think about buying a Can box plug and PC cable for the Cat TB 45 software which is another way to go. If you have access to a sister truck see you can change the display screen just to access the error code which you also should get with the OBD II. The error code will be an automotive P code.

I already have the genneric scann tool, but not all machines are  equiped whit OBD II diagnostic connector and cant acces to trouble codes. Dealers in this area dont want to sell the diagnostic cable or software

Four general versions of the K15/K21/K25 engines are available today.

1. Petrol and LPG injected - Electronically controlled.  2 versions (old and new) available with differences in O2 sensors etc. for latest CARB regs, so for NA market generally.

2. LPG injection - Electronically controlled. Used globally outside of NA.  Has single LPG injector and individual coil packs.  This is what Jungheinrich uses along with other European suppliers.

3. Petrol  - Standard carburetor.  Used on export models to CIS, Africa and Middle East generally.

4. LPG/Petrol - Standard carburetor.  Again used on export models for CIS, Africa and Middle East generally.

Grey import Mitsubishi forklifts from Japan intended for will come with a Nikki fuel system, not Impco.

Jungheirich units built in Germany only use the electronically controlled LPG engine.

Forkinlift;
Hi mate, the material your seeking is extensive to supply in paper form. I'm assuming you to be interest in the K family series; dual fuel, gasoline & LPG - carburated, multi-port & throttle body injected. Also, the first and second generation series. Being an old codger I'll be a good bloke and make you an offer mate. Need e address. It long way to the Thames for me.

Jim;
You are looking at just under 4 GB of information in pdf form. Do you have access to any virtual image software programs.

Instead of sending you greater then 25 MB to 50 MB of info at a time and having to break these files, that are in book form, out - I would be taking a picture of the pdf files and transmitting a image file to you in a compressed form.
