ok I managed to get ahold of a wiring schematic but am unlcear as to early model versus late model. does anyone know what the serial number break is that determines this? also my coolant level light is on constantly but it has coolant. anybody know where the sensor is located for this? its a 1996 with the mazda FE engine. its not on the radiator or the recovery tank and I cant seem to find it on the engine. unless Im not looking in the right place. found the coolant temp sensor but not coolant level. thanks for any help.

hi craig,
ive seen the level sensor on XM rads before, it is indeed installed in a bung on the top tank. it is possible that the radiator was replaced at some point with a "universal-fit" or simply incorrect fit radiator without this provision, an dthe ring terminal was just left to hang loose and is shorting out on the frame. you will find the wire for the level sensor poking out of the wire harness that passes over the top of the radiator.

ya know I saw that terminal on the pass side of the radiator and the wire is broken off. looked like a ground at first glance. but I just went and took a closer look and you are correct its a very small sensor. thank you.
