Another UK forklift parts specialist has hit the wall ! Handling Logistics Ltd went into recievership on the 12th of this month i've just heard. Music to TVH's ears, this leaves only the Midland Group, the UK's only independent forklift parts suppliers left.!!!! I remember the days when there were over 15 independent UK parts suppliers to choose from, before TVH came to town & brought up or closed down their competition. And is it just me or have there shipping & prices gone through the roof ????

yep shipping costs hi sometimes when you add the two together main agent is cheaper-have heard that handling logistics have done a bit of  a phoenix and are starting again using a company name that has been dormant for the last 15 years or so

lol, what a surprise !! any idea of what the name is??  I agree with the main agent quote, they are seeming to beat TVH on a lot of parts quotes nowadays. This would have been unheard of 2 years ago. ! Thats how much TVH have squeezed up there margins !

Handling Logistics used to get a lot of their spare parts from us. you can call us on 01256 880119. We only work off part numbers, not truck serial numbers but should be able to help you.

FYI - Rhys went bust because he was running the company badly - plain and simple, it had nothing to do with TVH squeezing margins or anything else. The man is in denial if he thinks he is any good at what he does. He ended up owing over £500,000 to creditors and nobody in this industry would touch him with a 10 ft barge pole.

Rhys as i understand it ran his company very well for a number of years, even when his father retired from the helm. There are numerous rumours as to why the company ceased trading  (administration) ,running it badly is not one of them.Of course people will lay blame on him as he was one of the directors who made decisions, good and bad.
Partech was registered at companies house at the end of January and as far as i know has not traded. The company details list it at an address in Bolton, and thats all it is, an address.

To Alan_M

I am not sure where your information has come from and I appreciate you are saying it with honesty but it is both incomplete and very far from the truth.

Hi simon,thanks for the reply.
With you being in the same area of business as Rhys you probably have a little more information than me (creditor ?).I dont know what happened to HL as i have not spoken to rhys only engineers/suppliers and this was all 3rd hand information. So with that in mind i have not written here what i have been told, like you say everbody knows everybody. But,by the time the tale has been told a dozen times its changed somewhat.

billski, more people will be able to contact you if you put your e-mail in your profile or signature, or in a format like "BillyA at essentialindustrial.co.uk" and then folks can change the 'at' to @ and the software here will be able to display it, and no "spam harvester software" will pick it up, only real humans will be able to use it.
