there are as many book as there are types of forklift: you need to be a lot more detailed.
Is it for an Apprentice I know where to get that : that is a very basic tells you what a thyristor is etc
or is it for a specific type of system  Curtis

Tom,
Please be more specific.   The BEST books you can have are service manuals for the trucks you are working on.   When I started, I used to take them home and study them.  Some brands of service manuals are not very well written.   If you could tell us what brands and model numbers you are servicing we could help

Tom,
FSIP has developed several manuals on electric vehicle troubleshooting as well as training videos.  May I suggest you look on our website:  w w w . fsip . biz  -- Online catalog under Technical and Training.  Your dealership may be willing to purchase some of these technical manuals for reference at the facility.  It is a great starting point on getting to know electric vehicle control systems.

Hi Tom

Congratulations on entering the lift truck industry.  Are you with a Raymond dealer, in-house maintainance or third party?  Having started my carrer 22 years ago I can remember the apprehension of not having an in depth technical knowledge of the #1 lift truck in the world.  The Raymond network has an extensive training and technical department. The Dealer one series for technician training is an excellent resource.

Hi Tom

The Dealer one training modules are provided by the Raymond training department at the factory in Greene.  It has been many years since I was in Greene, hopefully your dearer will send you once you get your feet wet.  My suggestion to you would be to canvas the other Technicians and borrow their dealer one manual.  The manual is a very good basic training manual that has modules of learning and practice excercises to review.  You will also want to check with your service mannager on getting a list of the prerequisites required in order to be eligable to write the Raymond level one certification.
