It's the new year so lets get serious.
I have read in this forum that most people  are having the follow up on either records not being done / or being done and repairs and faults not being rectified.  Every one wants to blame some one and its always some one eleses fault.
Every one is responsible, management needes to implement a simple system of daily checks by some logbook at the beginning of each day of use (driver or maintence peson responsible)  if damage or fault is found it is logged and reported to management, lock out tag fitted if severity is requred. Managment must follow up, this is just as important as the reporting, because if not, the pepole on the floor will assume  they are doing there part but the boss is not so why should they keep doing it.!  To implement the filling in of logbooks ask the respective personel to bring their logbook to the pay master when they are being paid,  ( they will want a full weeks pay so there should be  a weeks logging ???? if not  why ?  management needs to follow up. and after a while the system will be recognised, but do not forget  to periododically check the logbooks, follow up and checking by all concerened is imperative. Go to logbooks.com.au for a coprehensive  range  some 38 logbooks.
