I do know Toyota are meant to be opening a new factory in China early 2012 to produce BT Levio & Staxio models for the Chinese market, maybe this Toyota 8FBN is another truck to add to the new Chinese collection?

In my feeling, I think this series 8FB (more precisely, from Toyota's Chinese website called 8FBN) is dedicated to the Chinese market.
I do not think the series is true heir to the 7FB.
Among other things, this series 8FBN not talked about in the Japanese site
