We have a logbook to record and identify any damage on a daily basis, with colored indicators to identify where and severity.

every time you use it it's one less time that it can be used

That's really good as not many companies have a maintenance system.  It should be law.

Some pallet racking companies offer maintenance programs and they inspect your racking every 6 months or so, then do mantenance.

To discuss pallet racking damage, you need to be specific.  Is it selective  or drive in etc?  What forklifts are being used, as some can cause more damage than others.  Mostly it is the driver or lack of pallet racking protectors, guards and bollards.

good luck

As with all inspections on the day of use including forklifts is always a battle,  some management are a little" head in the sand "approach and feel they have complied by providing a logbook for the appropriate equipment but fail to follow up that the inspections and maintenance is done.   Our logbooks follow a common sense approach to all situations with minimal lost time in the logbook recording.  Our web site is easy to find search for OH&S logbooks.   Thanks again hope we can help

Sorry did not get back to you for a long time. Read so many forum pages, and sometimes you lose one.  The repairs would be followed up by the pallet racking company if  you had them inspect it.  This takes the pressure of the staff and puts it back onto management.

Dear Dais

please go to our web site logbooks.com.au. then go to contact us and give me an idea of quantities you may be looking at, to resell. I will send you a sample, then we can discuss pricing.
