Honestly, 10 years in mhe and i have to admit that the Nichiyu machines are darn reliable & low on maintenance cost.

Example, i got a contract in which we were required to supply reachtrucks, 3 wheeler forklifts, powered pallet trucks, ICE forklifts and order pickers. The price that the client were willing to offer for order pickers were less than RM3,000 per mth with 1 spare batt.

I bought 6 of the Nichiyu order pickers which was half the price of Linde incl of 6 FOC service with std warranty and they have never even experience a slightest glitch since being commissioned. The trucks are more than a year now or 2000 hours.

In application where the Nichiyu is able to perform, I'd recommend them at anytime.

Cheers!

before the MCFA joint venture, NYK was what Mitsubishi forklifts sold in the USA as their electric offering, there was also a period where the A/C Kalmar reach truck was an NYK product
I noticed that Mitsubishi forklifts has again increased their ownership in NYK forklifts.

NICHIYU has a factory in china. its lavor is very cheap. i think your trucks are from china. i should say their prices are even lower than local prices in china.

i'm looking for a good source of information on AC-Kalmar model ACNM 35W type reach trucks. this is the moveable mast type forklift although it's called a reach i think. some parts i've been able to get thru Komatsu some thru aftermarket suppliers. but i'd really would like to have more in depth information on this forklift. this type of unit uses Nichiyu/Mitsubishi contactors but i need to identify other electrical parts and motors. any help is appreciated.

what about this unit do you want to know?
don't ever pull the electrical component out of the steering gear box. (you can never get it back in right, and it will break someones arm spinning the wrong way some day if you do)
when you rebuild the contactors, make sure you also replace the pin and caps the return spring rest on.
this is a nyk truck that was the same as the Mitsu unit., different data plate and paint.
I apologize to anyone who has one of these units. it seems unfair that the unit became obsolete in the USA as fast as it did.

i'd like to be able to identify most of the components on the electrical panel besides the contactors. i don't work on these trucks however i do supply parts to my customer and having to go thru an OEM is not only expensive but they take a week to get back to me. the AC-Kalmar parts supply network is now handled by Komatsu i guess since nobody else can seem to supply them. i have pictures of the components on these trucks.
