hello,  I work in Victoria, TX and here in this state, our Texas Railroad Commission has some EPA grant monies for the removal of older forklifts.  Part of the requirements for the grant is to supply the old engine model, horse power and if possible engine type.  Is there one publication that an individual can purchase that can be used to research this information.  Here is an example, I have a Toyota model 40-2FG9 forklift...what engine and horse power of the engine when it was new?  Thanks for your help...by the way, most of the specific dealer reps do not or will not assist with this information.

I'm surprised the local Toyota dealer sales rep wouldn't help. Try calling Toyota Industrial Equipment headquarters at 800 226-0009 or go on their website and submit an inquiry.
