Anyone know the procedure for changing the travel speed on the electric 7FBCU35 ?
Tops out at 11 and only need 7 mph.    To many near misses and damaged products!!!!
I realize theres 3 preset and one custom passwords available but the last supervisor did not leave the information.

Any help would be appreciated!

Rick

I would also be interested in that information, here at Alcoa we have a 7 mph speed limit for mobile equipment. I think it's a good idea because some of our opeartors are new to forklifts. This speed limit is required to save lives and reduce damage.

Contact your Toyota Sales/Service Rep. With the Toyota electrics you adjust the speed through the dash display by entering a password. It's fairly easy to do but you don't want to post it here since it could fall into the hands of operators. In Alcoa's case if its an lp Toyota you would need to add travel speed control onto your lift when ordered.

JDuke is right.  Your CSS rep from your local Toyota Dealer has this password.  Or call the service manager and he should be able to give it to you.  The problem with giving it out in a forum like this is, that once you know it, it cannot be changed.  So if operators find it out, you'll never keep the speed where you want it.

I have a product that can be added to any forklift that will allow you to set maximum travel speed on all your forklifts.  It can even have different maximum travel speeds in different zones.  The zones are determined by GPS or RFID technology.  It is being used by major Auto, steel and Aluminium, and paper companies.  Check out my web site  [url/email removed]-usa.com.
