Discussion:  Clark NPR 20 slow drive and reach

Need help! I am working on an NPR345-1104-9454FB for a customer. The battery is not fresh but is holding 35 volts plus during any functions. The drive is slow and the reach, tilt and ss are very slow. Lifting is normal speed.
I pulled the cover off of the mast limit switch and all appears normal. VOM across 2 terminals showed about 5 volts, push lever-0 volts. Schematic shows a steer sensor but I don't see it. Any ideas?

Also flashing a -90 code when "full speed" is achieved.

if the battery "holds 35v",  what does it read at rest?
On this unit, you should have a lift pump, and then steering, side-shift, reach are on an aux pump, and there is an separate controller for the speed of that motor.
my book for this unit does not show a code 90 but does show a 99, although I am pretty sure on a lot of GE panel's BDI display use numbers above 89 as a manufacturers interface card errors. so what may trigger that error may not be exactly the same on all units, but it is often like "aux motor brush-wear indicators", or "speed reduced due to mast height and steer angle".
in my wire diagram what is labeled; "steer sensor" I would fully expect to be the "steering handcrank encoder" or "steer handcrank generator" in some other manufacturer's terminology. [you know, the thing tha has 3 wires in a shielded cable that is what the steering knob turns?]

Thanks for the response Edward. Turns out this is a Mosfet system, -90 is over temp. Had a loose connection on wire 40 at the EV-T5PS controller. This affects both the reach and drive.

Glad you got it squared away, and thanks for coming back and letting us know what it was
