I got a problem  with a CROWN sp 3500  ac drive. As your driving the sp it will randomly slow down to a creep speed even though handle is twisted all the way forward. The platform  is all the way lowered. No code , and then go back to normal speed  a few seconds later while driving.  I don't think its the pot because when its going slow, moving the handle doesn't effect travel. The truck will do this maybe twice a day, then go a month with no problems.  Anyone have any ideas.  Thanks.

sounds like one of the mast height switches is adjusted a little tooooooo close. might be a bad steering encoder.

You are able to check the eight encoder counts from the display module with this truck.
I recommend to follow the procedures described in the service manual you should have received with the unit.
Anyway, I do not think the problem will be that.
Open the power unit and check the distribution panel where the pot input and output is, make sure you have good connection and the contacts are clean, thight them if necessary.
Also inspect the steering module connector for thightness.
Also are you sure there is no fault code or message display or stored?

Make sure the cover over the distribution board has been trimmed for harness clearance on the bottom right corner.
