I have a verasitor Yale that blinks a dash light that in the operators manual said is transmission over temp.According to the display it is at 97 degrees Fahrenheit.Swapped switch with known good.Didn't affect either truck,The one still has same problem. On the dash display it reads Transmission brake limited use foot brakes.Any clue what causes this? Thanks in advance.

The truck VSM is acting as if there is an overheat condition within the transmission. The VSM will not allow the use of the transmission braking system if there is an overheat condition as this would generate even more heat. This explains the message you are seeing. Since you can read the transmission temperature through the diagnostics on the DSC and the temperature is about ambient temperature I would lean toward replacing the VSM. Are you seeing any fault codes?
