Storing your login information automatically.

When you select the 'Remember me' option, your login information will be stored on your computer in the form of a cookie. When you visit Forkliftaction.com again, the stored login information will be retrieved automatically and you will not have to submit your login parameters (email address and password) each time you want to visit our members-only pages.

A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Cookies do not damage your system.

what do guy,s think off computer controlled forklifts?
as in driver less or like remote controlled gantry cranes .
this puts a few people out of work ,and as they are making their way into the workplace i would like to know your opinions

I like them for same shaped/size weight loads with set sizes. I have worked on ASRS (automated load and retrieval systems) from a couple of different manufacturers, and it keeps coming back to the same issues - SIZE, load cohesion and weight. I've also used toe sized ones.
They do a great job when the loads are within specs and properly secured. They seem not to like as much very light loads. The weight needs to be centered on the pallet.
As with all things good maintenance is essential

They still can not unload a truck by themselves, but can automatically transfer from cinveyor or AGV's

When they go down you normally loose all access to that aisle (they are guaranteed to go down if the product you want in only on that aisle)..

All in all I like them. They require good maintenance, proper loading, and an understanding from the operations side on the limitations. If you are looking at them I'd recommend at least two aisles and putting duplicate pallets in each aisle - I had 13 at one site and 6 at another
