I need help. Forklift idles rough most of the time. It rarely idles normal anymore. It doesn't give any codes and this only happens at idle. Once you give it gas, it runs, but when back at idle, it dies again. What could it possibly be?? I checked the vacuum hoses and they're all connected.
help please....
thank you

you don't give much information about how many hours or other maintenance ever being done on this unit, but the FIRST step would be to insure the vac hoses are on the -right- place, just having them on may not do it. the NEXT thing would be to hook up the software and run the "fast tas" (idle air volume learn).

Change the plugs when motor is cold and check the coil packs. If  that doesn't help then check wires to the Mass airflow sensor, they tend to break and this will cause the same issues. Pull the MAF sensor out and check for debris or dust in it, very carefully dust the sensor with carb cleaner and blow dry with 15-20 psi of air, reinstall and test.

I would add, check the battery voltage and alt output. I have had one that was a slow crank, but did start, that would intermittently run like garbage at idle, but once the alt got going was "ok"
