Help with accelerator?
Toyota compact (SAS)with vortec V6 fly by wire accelerator.
anyone know how to set up??
When you drive feels like trans fault, (delay in take up)
Open bonet and hit accelerator pedal, servo motor doesnt move, then just goes to full throttle.
Driver says unable to inch smoothly and causing damage (now on warning)
I've tried myself and agree with driver.
When I check servo ( bonnet up, turn ign on, servo moves (self test??) back & forward) but always after test has slack in cable.
If you press acc pedal slowly servo (stutters/quivers) then goes to full throttle, no smooth action

Hello Ian

Look after your Potmeter accelarator
Look after your switch's mounted on carburator and stationaire position very importend.
Its possible that your servo is damaged Igot several time's servo not good and potmeter.
Have you service manual !!!! you can test several things.
I got it let me now.

thanks for reply and no i dont have service manual. I you have manual in PDF i would appreciate a copy, if not the section on testing accelerator would help me.

Everything has to be set up proper accelerator pedal travel stop bolt , make sure nothing has been tampered with to make it faster.. the lever under neath floor board can't be bent floor board can't be bent. set up to toyota spec

also check orange and black wire to servo may be broken Rich
