Hyster N40XMR fault code

I wish to know what does mean the fault code 282. Can anybody help me? Thanks

do you know the serial number?
where are you reading this code from? the MIB board under the covers?

im assuming you see this code when you are not stepping on the pedal

a code XX82 read on the MIB
the truck model is not programmed into the MIB
did you mess withthe MIB at all?

code 82 is when you turn on the key and MIB function "01" has a value of 00

to set function "01" refer to the following table
all for a N40XMR
24v -  symbol A = function value "48"
24v -  symbol B = function value "49"
36v -  symbol A = function value "50"
36v -  symbol B = function value "51"
24v -  symbol E = function value "78"
24v -  symbol F = function value "79"
36v -  symbol E = function value "80"
36v -  symbol F = function value "81"

legend for symbols
A) OMNITROL with lift tilt and reach only
B) OMNITROL with lift tilt reach and sideshift
E) SEPARATE LEVER with lift tilt and reach only
F) SEPARATE LEVER with lift tilt reach and sideshift

OMNITROL is the controller on the right side with all hydraulic controls operated with your thumb
SEPARATE LEVER is self explanatory

The serial number is E138H01805T. I have a N40XMR2 service manual but it seems that code values aren t the same.

Your info is just all that I needed.

i have the book that covers both xmr and xmr2
the code i gave above were for the n40xmr

I could really use your help...
First the charger was plugged in to the lift not the battery.
Intrument Display quit working so was replaced.
Now it powers up but when we press the operator switch it displays the following codes:
D1.63
R2.09

Serial Number B470n01788v
Model N40xmr2

Could you please email any information that you can. I called the local dealer and they were unable to figure this out.

yes those phone conversations do sound funny between the 2 accents

i just barely got the "exes" joke lol, ive heard that song on a commercial on XM when they did a special on george strait
