Just got my first forklift, hopefully someone can answer a few questions for me.
1)What year was the fg1510 manufactured?
2)Brakes leak fluid. Can you just buy reseal kits for the master and wheel cylinders? Genuine cylinders and master are $600 or can I get aftermarket?
3) steering doesnt feel right... I need to turn the wheel quite a few turns to get it to steer...is this normal?.. any suggestions... I didnt pay much for it so I am expecting to spend a few $$$.
4)Does this lift use the Nissan D11 Engine?
Hope someone can help a newbie...
Tony

fg1510 was in production for several years. Serial # may give away the year.

I recommend replacing the wheel and master cylinders. rebuild kits do not work well.  Steering sounds as if orbital is going out.  steering should be tight.
some 1510's have the d11 engine.

post the serial # and I might be able to send more info

Response to: Tony l---Is your model number FG1510 OR FG15-10? US built trucks have "dash"  then another  number this denotes year model.

They were made between 1967 and 1977. I would guess by s/n to be around a 71-72 unit.
Engine should be a Nissan D11-PU40
