We are now ready to roll with this new forum. Thank you to the readers who participated in the discussions that lead us to introduce it. Thanks also to Wengkai, our software guru.

This first entry is just an admin introduction and the model number is fictitious.

This forum will become a wonderful resource in time. It will be an archive of solutions and we have innovated to ensure that it will be easily searchable. To add a new subject you must allocate a brand and a Series Number (or Model number if the problem is applicable only to the particular model)

We are thinking that a large proportion of trouble shooting subjects and solutions will be applicable to the Series rather than just one particular Model number.

So when possible please select a generic series number and use the word "Series" (eg FD7 Series) and in the text you might even add the year of the model.

We have "seeded" this new forum with a few previous discussions that lead to the creation of this new forum - thank you to all those thinkers and mechanically inclined leaders in our industry who assisted.

Please - if you have any other suggestions just let us know - add a comment in this discussion.

Thank you for providing this forum, I will probably use it in the future and will let other people know about it. The efforts of everybody involved is much appreciated and I will share the little knowledge I have.
Thank you

I have a concern at work about the park brakes our fleet of 44 tonne shunting tractors & although I have extensive experience of heavy trucks in the UK this application is strictly as a "works vehicle". I would like to ask the industry experts how large gas and diesel forktrucks are "parked" and would value an opinion as to whether the braking arrangements on these vehicles is acceptable.
I have posted a discussion under "safety" but have no replies as the name "Terberg" is probably unfamiliar.
Your advice would be welcome,
Thanks
Rod
