If you want the best, get a Crown SP3420-30 or 3470F-30 depending on how high you need to go.

Hi Dias

Crown is a good lift, but i work for toyota and we recently aquired BT/ Raymond. The raymond order picker is the industry leader at this time... Raymond also makes the toyota 7BPUE15 picker and is cheaper!!!

Thankyou, I will check it out.  We are an independent company and can chose which ever truck is right for the application.

I have a problem with a customer.  They want to utilise their pallet racking and space.  They have rolls of material, that they want to hand stack on particle board.  The rolls are longer than the width of the stockpicker and his staff would need to lean over the edge of the machine as there would be a 400mm or more gap between picker and racking. I cant see it working as well as the pallet racking man can. Any Ideas?

Thanks , the rolls of material are only 20kgs, but the are 1600mm long and this means the lean over could be 400mm to 500mm.  I think this is going to be slow and labour intensive. The customer says the staff wont put on the safety harness and this is a great concern to me as it is law in Australia that you wear the harness.

A wider operator's paltform can help close the gap that your are concerned about.  Most manufactured offer them as an option.

For your info. the oder picker was first developed  by a company called Lewis Sheppard for textile handling in clothing manufacturing in the NE USA.  The units were  used to put away and retrieve bolts of fabric use to make suits, etc.

Raymond makes 2 different width's of platform extension, 4" or 10".

If you want to run close tolerance to the racking, make sure to use a guidance system.  The cost of racking repairs will be substantial otherwise.

The Crown's are a workhorse, but the Raymond is the cadillac.
