Due to the development of the ports, the cargo volume reached to 186.345.867 tonnes in 2000 and, according to the initial estimates, to 171.076.340 tonnes in 2001, and so the shipping sector attained a powerful potential for the years to come. By constructing ships for the world fleets the shipbuilding industry has commenced to compete with the world markets. At a time of maritime sector’s achieving great development.
