InfraPortos South America

Brazil, Santos - October 22nd to 24th
InfraPortos South America is the largest event in Latin America in the port and terminal segments.

The event will take place inside a 6,000 m² pavilion with plus an interactive outdoor area for the display of high-technology equipment for cargo moving and port infrastructure, an also an incredibly extensive schedule of technical conferences.

The InfraPortos South America is an international fair that will be organized by UBM Brazil, which also organizes Intermodal South America and is the leading company in organizing business fairs for the infrastructure and transport segments.

InfraPortos South America is also supported by main institutions from the segment, such as the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry (ABIMAQ), the Brazilian Association of Port Terminals (ABTP), the Brazilian Association of Port Terminals and Container Transport Companies (ABTTC), the Brazilian Association of Customs Terminals and Enclosures (ABTRA) and the National Union of Companies in the Transport and Heavy/Exceptional Cargo Handling Segments (SINDIPESA).

Business - Some companies that confirmed their presence during the event: Aesa Clark, Arbo, Equiport, Hyster, Laguna Pneus, Rimac, Stock Total, Toledo Do Brasil, Tomé Portuária, Cavotec and Prosertek.

Fact of the week
A 1904 lecture by scientist Elie Metchnikoff extolled the benefits of consuming yoghurt for halting the "intestinal putrefaction" which he believed causes aging. The press reported yoghurt as a cure for aging and the ensuing popularity is still with us today.
