Kaup
T191KND Spreader

KAUP Spreaders are usually designed to meet the special requirements of each individual customer. Whether for operation on a forklift truck, on a gantry crane in harbours or on board container ships KAUP has a wide spectrum of Spreaders on offer. Fixed-frame Spreaders are non-telescopic spreaders which handle all standard sizes of containers by mobile harbour crane. Fixed-frame Spreaders are standardly equipped with level compensation and 6 flippers. Telescopic Spreaders telescope to adapt from 20’ up to 48’ containers. Starting from the 20’ position every required telescopic extension is controlled precisely by cylinder stops. Difference in width between ISO and Sealand containers is accommodated by telescopic end beams. During pick up the container is secured by 4 corner flippers (mobile harbour crane container spreaders have 6 flippers) which fasten on to the lifting hooks. As the container is lifted a sturdy sensing pin engages in a locking disk to prevent the spreader from unlocking, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Four proximity switches on the sensing pins signal the operator when the spreader is properly seated on the container. When a hydraulic telescopic spreader is not necessarily economical i.e. when containers account for a relatively small proportion of the cargo handling workload a Manual Telescopic Spreader can be used. Telescoping to the required container length is achieved manually with a rack and pinion mechanism. The twistlocks are manually locked pair wise with mechanical linkage. Options: telescope, rotation, level compensation, slewing gear, emergency lifting hooks
