The business which is already the UK market leader for forklift tyre services will now build on its position as a key partner to the UK materials handling industry by offering multi brand tyre fitting services, a new service standard and a number of innovations designed to change the UK tyre services market.

Premia Group Limited acquire Watts Tyre Group

Premia Group Limited have announced the acquisition of Watts Tyre Group, the industrial tyre producer & distributor. Premia Group Limited is a private consortium owned by Jean-Paul Mindermann, Paul Morey and Andreas Karnein who were part of the senior management of Watts Tyre Group as Chief Executive, Finance Director and Technical Director respectively. The company will continue to trade under the Watts name.

Watts Tyre Group win Toyota Supplier of Year Award

Watts Tyre Group, the UK based tyre and wheel producer has been awarded “Supplier of the Year” by Toyota Industrial Equipment SA (TIESA) at this year’s supplier conference held in Ancenis, France. This is the highest accolade that Toyota gives to suppliers and is awarded on the basis of performance against TIESA’s key quality and delivery indicators.

Watts Tyre Group announce acquisition of Profix

Watts Industrie Reifen, the German subsidiary of Watts Tyre Group has today announced the acquisition of Profix GmbH, the north German based tyre services and distribution business. Current Profix Director Volker Scholze will join Watts Industrie Reifen and manage operations from the Zittau office, Profix Manager Udo Rottke will also join Watts as Tyre Services Manager responsible for the Mobile Fitting Service across the country.

Watts Industrial Tyres achieves Certified Supplier Status.

Watts Industrial Tyres recently attended Toyota’s annual supplier meeting, held at the Ancenis plant in France.

Over 70 suppliers were in attendance and Watts Industrial Tyres were one of 20 select suppliers who achieved “Certified” status, and in addition to this one of only thirteen suppliers presented with a special award for delivering 100% of product to line on time over the assessed 12 month period.

Watts Tyres to invest in Mexican distributor

The ISO 14001:2004 standard is a benchmark for environmental control and the development of targets to reduce the environmental impact of the organisation’s activities. The standard was awarded to the Watts Group’s Gloucestershire site which covers rubber compounding from Watts Industrial Polymers and the manufacture of industrial wheels by Watts Industrial Tyres, as well as the distribution of industrial tyres to the OEM and replacement markets.

Watts Industrial Tyres expands Brazilian output

Gloucestershire, UK based, Watts Industrial Tyres have expanded its production facility in Brazil, together with its joint venture partner, Souza Pinto Ind.& Com. De Artefatos De Borrahca Ltda.
Watts together with Souza Pinto commenced manufacturing of a limited range of resilient solid tyres in late 2001, and has continued over the past four years to expand its production range and capacity.
